“Generations of Adventure...It’s In Our Nature”

William “Bill” and Irene Roach spent upwards of 40 years giving back to their community. Their endless contributions to the community paved the way for future generations to continue serving. A dream they shared was the development of a summer camp for children with special needs. Bill passed away in March of 2010 leaving his legacy in the hands of his family to accomplish. Pursuant to their goals and dreams, we are in the developing Camp Idlewild of Florida.

Bill was a Land O' Lakes pioneer! As a citrus farmer and entrepreneur, Bill worked hard to develop our community. Back in the 50s Land O’Lakes was mainly a truck route!  Bill built the first shopping center, worked together with community leaders to build the LOL Civic Center and Volunteer Fire Department, and served in numerous service clubs, such as Sertoma, throughout Pasco County. Bill and Irene served as leaders in numerous community organizations like the Women’s Club and Chamber of Commerce, as well as in the schools. Together, Bill and Irene served the Land O' Lakes community for over 80 years and they just keep giving!

Their vision is to inspire each individual to look beyond current capabilities and explore the world with confidence to gain knowledge about their own unique abilities. Our mission is to provide recreational experiences for children 6-17 years old that promote confidence, social and emotional development, and relationship enhancement. Our programs will aim to encourage children to reach their full potential and develop areas of interest, as well as exploring new ideas and activities to extend their repertoire of skills.
