Onsite Opportunities

Fall and Spring Weekend Programs

Family Retreat Weekends: September - April

  • Our Family Retreat Weekends offer our campers an opportunity to bring their siblings, parents, and caregivers to Camp. Together, they get a chance to bond, unwind, and experience all that Camp has to offer. As a Volunteer, you are assigned to a family for the weekend and able to share in the experience. Alongside our amazing crew, you will work to get to know your family, show them around Camp, and to see that their weekend is as fun and fulfilling as possible.

Summer Camp: June - July

Program Support

Camper Activities & Entertainment

Medical Team

Medical Volunteers work alongside our Medical Staff to provide routine and acute care to our campers. We need licensed physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners, both specialists and general medicine practitioners who can share their medical/clinical expertise with us to create a safe and fun environment. Pediatric experience is preferred. We guarantee this will be a life-changing experience, just as it is for the children who attend Camp.

Transportation Ambassador

Our Airport Ambassadors drive camp vehicles to pick up and drop off volunteers from the airport. Those interested in volunteering as Airport Ambassadors need to contact volunteer@campidlewildofflorida.com to fill out an application and undergo a Florida State DMV check. After receiving your application, we will schedule a time to meet and train you on our procedures and allow you to shadow a current Airport Ambassador.

Housekeeping volunteers work with our full-time staff, assisting them with laundry, tidying-up the cabins and program areas, and changing linens on camper beds between sessions.

Maintenance volunteers work with our full-time staff, helping them keep our camp beautiful. We are looking for people who are able to help mow grass or do minor repairs such as painting, fixing sprinkler heads, replacing screens in doors, etc.

Office Support

The Camp Operations Office, the Executive Office, and the Infirmary are very busy places, and we are always looking for people who can help with copying, mailings, filing, answering telephones, and computer work on a daily basis. We’re always in need of office supplies, so please visit our Giving Opportunities page to see what we’re in need of!

Quilts, Afghans, Handmade Crafts and More!

Each session, campers go home with a gift handmade with love. We're looking for volunteers to use their creative abilities to brighten our campers lives with hand-crafted quilts, afghans and much much more. We’re also looking for some volunteers who can make and/or mend costumes for our theater program. This exciting opportunity to help can be done from home.

Please mail or deliver your completed items to the address below:

Woodshop is one of the busiest activities at camp, and we are constantly in need of people who can cut out unfinished wood projects for the campers to sand, assemble, and decorate. Some woodshop projects include: plaques, animal box kits, race cars, and CD racks. This exciting opportunity to help can be done from home.
